Gold Resource Corporation (NYSEAMERICAN:GORO) (FRA:GIH) reported its 2Q production results that showed the miner’s output well ahead of last year’s figures.
The Denver-based company produced 6,555 ounces of gold and 295,979 ounces of silver from its operations in Mexico, compared to the 2,441 and 185,330 ounces it produced in the same three-month period a year ago.
All told, the company sold 9,685 gold equivalent ounces in the quarter ended June 30, 2021, a big increase from the 4,333 ounces a year prior.

That sales figure includes 5,697 gold ounces and 270,321 silver ounces, 365 tonnes of payable copper, 1,214 tonnes of payable lead, and 3,193 tonnes of payable zinc.
The firm told shareholders it remains confident it will meet its annual gold production guidance.
"Gold production in the second quarter was as expected while silver and base metal production remain modestly behind forecast,” GORO’s CEO Allen Palmiere said in a statement accompanying the results.
“We continue to address challenging ground conditions with a change in mine sequencing and the use of paste fill. We remain confident in our annual production guidance for gold equivalent ounces and our total cash and all-in sustaining costs."
GORO controls over 684 square kilometers of ground, including 55 kilometers of a geologically important structural fault corridor in the state of Oaxaca, with six properties.
