Victory Resources Corporation (CSE:VR)(FRA:VR61)(OTCPINK:VRCFF) has reported strong initial results from its extensive sampling program on its recently acquired Smokey Lithium property in Esmeralda County, Nevada.
The Vancouver-based junior international mining corporation said that sampling showed several areas of “high lithium (Li) values in the claystones up to 1,500 parts per million (ppm) Li".
In addition, the southwest area of the Smokey Lithium property showed values well over 1,000 ppm. Lithium sampling in this area revealed a highly anomalous zone about 1.5 kilometers (km) across, noted the company.

In other highlights, the company said that the central area also features "elevated lithium values" and "may be related to the high Li zone on the adjacent Jindalee Property."
"These results are significant, validating Smokey Lithium and providing a focal point for Victory's exploration team, which has been extremely active in Nevada over the last few months advancing our properties at a rapid pace," said Victory CEO Mark Ireton in a statement.
Victory's exploration team completed the mapping and sampling program in June this year using both a Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) analyzer and through the collection of claystone samples, to complete the planned program first announced on June 15.
The firm explained that the LIBS chemical analysis tool is used to detect and characterize materials. It allows the company to focus a powerful laser pulse onto the surface of solid, liquid or even gaseous matter to determine the elemental composition of the sample.
Claystone samples have been submitted to ALS Labs in Tucson to further validate results,” said the company.
The company’s Smokey Lithium project is a clay lithium property around 20 miles north of Clayton Valley, and 20 miles west of American Lithium's flagship lithium project and its Black Diablo copper property. It also lies 25km northwest of Noram's Zeus Lithium Project and 35km southwest of American Lithium Corporation's Tonopah Lithium Claims Property in southwest Nevada.
Esmeralda County Nevada is a prolific region for lithium clay deposits and has proven very large tonnage with acceptable grades in excess of 900 ppm.
