Digitalbox plc (LON:DBOX), owner of Entertainment Daily, The Daily Mash and The Tab, appointed experienced media executive Phil Machray as its new independent director.
He replaces Matthew Armitage, who is stepping down from what for him was a temporary position.
For the past 11 years, Machray has worked for Reach (formerly Trinity Mirror), the UK’s largest national and regional newspaper group.
In that time he has been director of corporate development, chief operating officer of regionals, and managing director of digital marketing services.
Digitalbox chairman Marcus Rich said Machray’s “proven media industry track record and extensive M&A experience will be invaluable as we continue to execute our buy and build strategy, taking advantage of opportunities in the changing media landscape”.
