Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) has started phase 2 reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Mulga Bill prospect within the Side Well Gold Project in Western Australia.
The program is designed to add definition to the western and eastern high-grade lodes defined by drilling in April, including regions that intersected 6 metres at 31.25g/t gold and 4 metres at 26.42g/t gold.

Great Boulder has also designed RC pre-collars for a diamond rig to drill deeper holes at Mulga Bill in conjunction with the current program.
During the current round of RC drilling, the company intends to drill about 3,000 metres on priority targets, with an additional 1,200 metres of RC and a diamond drill designed for deeper targets pending rig availability.

Great Boulder managing director Andrew Patterson said: “The rig and field team finished drilling at Whiteheads last week and moved straight onto the next side well program using the same contractor.
“We’re continuing to advance both projects as quickly as possible.
“The RC drilling around Blue Poles went well, and we anticipate seeing initial results from those holes about five to six weeks from now.”
Awaiting assay results from Whiteheads
Great Boulder recently completed its phase 3 RC drilling at Blue Poles within the Whiteheads Project.
A total of 22 RC holes of 2,985 metres were completed within and around Blue Poles, with holes designed to infill and extend the Blue Poles mineralisation.
Drilling was completed in the third week of June, with initial assay results expected by early August.
Intrusive-related gold system
A recent analysis of Great Boulder’s multi-element data identified a pathfinder element association characteristic of an IRGS.
Notably, the IRGS association includes an extremely strong, widespread bismuth anomaly that is coincident with the distribution of gold.
This provides an immediate tool for the company’s exploration drilling, as the company can use bismuth as a road indicator of gold in regional drilling.
