Predictive Discovery Ltd (ASX:PDI) has recorded its highest impact gold intersection to date at the Guinea-based Bankan Project with 44 metres at 8 g/t gold from 265 metres.
Recently, the gold explorer drilled four diamond drill holes, covering 1,060 metres, across two of the project’s prospects - NE Bankan and Bankan Creek.
The 44-metre intersection at NE Bankan included 17 metres at 18.1 g/t from 273 metres and is the company's best result so far.
Meanwhile, Bankan Creek didn't disappoint either with a diamond drill hole intersecting as much as 24.1 g/t gold 37 metres from the surface.
Infill resource drilling continues at Bankan Creek prospect, with Predictive growing more certain the area will contribute strongly to a planned maiden resource estimate.
Intersection “an absolute standout”
Predictive Discovery managing director Paul Roberts said: “These outstanding new results are further confirmation of the continuity and grade of the NE Bankan and Bankan Creek gold deposits.
“The intersection of 44 metres at 8 g/t gold from around a 240-metre vertical depth is an absolute standout, better than any intercept we have obtained so far in the deposit.
“Following these high impact holes, we have four more deep DD holes yet to report at NE Bankan. Deep drilling results on adjacent sections are also delivering very good widths and grades between 200 metres and 300 metres of vertical depth.
“Infill diamond drilling is ongoing at Bankan Creek, with the last holes planned for completion mid-July. Following receipt and interpretation of the last results, the company will move onto the maiden resource estimation, in keeping with our September quarter timetable.”
The diamond campaign
In a bid to further explore the gold potential at the NE Bankan and Bankan Creek prospects, Predictive embarked on its latest diamond drilling program.
Notably, the precious metals explorer has made two significant gold discoveries in the last 15 months, and the latest intersections bode well for a planned maiden resource estimate at the Bankan Project.
Other results from the diamond campaign include:
- 12.3 metres at 6.7 g/t gold from 338 metres, including 3.9 metres at 14.4 g/t from 340 metres at NE Bankan;
- 15 metres at 4 g/t from 48 metres, including 3 metres at 12.5 g/t from 56 metres at Bankan Creek and;
- 12 metres at 5 g/t from 30 metres, including 2 metres at 24.1 g/t from 37 metres at Bankan Creek.
Predictive is currently waiting on assays from four other diamond holes drilled at NE Bankan, while infill activity continues as Bankan Creek.
With the fresh results in tow, the gold explorer is one step closer to establishing a maiden resource estimate at Bankan within the current quarter.
