Kenorland Minerals reports significant gold mineralization along R2 structure on the Regnault discovery at Frotet project

Of the seven holes targeting the R2 structure, six encountered significant gold mineralization

Kenorland Minerals Ltd (CVE:KLD) (FRA:3WQ0) revealed the remaining assay results from its 8,600-metre winter drill program on the Regnault target at its Frotet project that showed significant gold mineralization along the R2 structure.

Located in northern Quebec, Frotet is a joint venture between Kenorland and Sumitomo Metal Mining Canada Ltd.

Vancouver-based Kenorland reported results from the remaining 15 of 30 diamond drill holes, or 5,104 total metres drilled. Of the seven holes targeting the R2 structure, six encountered “significant” gold mineralization, according to a release.

Highlights included 1.94 metres over 13.59 grams per ton (g/t) gold and 30.8 g/t silver and 1.62 metres at 11.17 g/t gold and 21.96 g/t silver, which included an interval of 0.43 metres at 40.3 g/t gold and 78.9 g/t silver.

R2 is located around 500 metres south of the parallel R1 structure, where Kenorland intersected 5.72 metres over 90.56 g/t gold in May 2021.

The additional holes targeting the Regnault South area returned no significant intervals, according to Kenorland.

"We're thrilled to announce the remaining results from the winter drill program at Regnault. This concludes another successful exploration campaign at the Frotet Project, which we are advancing with our joint venture partner, Sumitomo Metal Mining,” Kenorland CEO Zach Flood said in a statement.

“These results demonstrate an additional continuous structure of high-grade gold mineralization, over 500m to the south of R1, highlighting the potential for additional parallel mineralized structures within the area.”

Kenorland is planning to begin drilling again in mid-July with a program consisting of up to 20,000 metres of drilling at Regnault, along with follow-up exploration on other regional targets.

The program will primarily focus on infill and step-outs along the R1 structure, with a number of allocated towards continued testing along the R2 structure and follow-up on additional zones of mineralization encountered throughout the Regnault trend.
