BetterLife Pharma announces partial exercise of over-allotment option to raise $2.8 million

It issued an additional 500,000 units as well as 478,750 warrants for gross aggregate proceeds of about $226,953

BetterLife Pharma Inc (CSE:BETR) (OTCQB:BETRF) (FRA:NPAU ) has announced the partial exercise of the over-allotment option with its $2,610,000 marketed public offering that closed on June 7.

In a statement, the company said it has issued an additional 500,000 units and 478,750 common share purchase warrants for additional gross aggregate proceeds of about $226,953.

It added that the total gross proceeds from the offering, including the 6,525,000 units sold initially at $0.40 apiece and the partial exercise of the over-allotment option, is about $2,836,953.

Each unit consists of one common share and one warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase one share at $0.50 apiece, expiring on May 28, 2024.

The offering was led by Research Capital Corporation as the sole agent and sole bookrunner.

Betterlife had granted the agent an option to increase the size of the offering by up to 15% of the total number of units issued up to 30 days following the offering’s closing date.

The net proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.

BetterLife Pharma, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a life sciences company engaged in the development of next-generation psychedelic products for the treatment of mental disorders.
