AG Barr PLC (LON:BAG) has appointed the man who oversaw the sale of Dairy Crest as it new chairman.
Mark Allen joins the board of the Irn Bru maker next month and will take over as chair next year when John Nicolson stands down after seven years in the job and nine as a director.
Allen had been chief executive at Dairy Crest for twelve years when it was acquired by Canadian group Saputo in 2019 for £975mln. He was chair at Norcros between July 2020 and April 2021.
AG Barr also said former Coca Cola UK marketing director Zoe Howorth will become a non-executive director with effect from 1 July, succeeding Pam Powell.
