UDG Healthcare shareholders squeeze a few more quid out of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice

There can be no certainty that the possible increased final offer will be made

Bid target UDG Healthcare PLC (LON:UDG) has squeezed a few extra quid out of private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).

After consulting some of its shareholders, the board of UDG is recommending acceptance of a 1,080p per share cash offer from CD&R should the private equity firm pull the trigger on the planned offer.

Previously, the UDG board was prepared to roll over and accept 1,023p in cash per share.

CD&R has indicated that its indicative offer will not be increased except possibly in the event of a rival bidder emerging. The board of UDG said it has not yet received any rival offers.
