Esports Entertainment Group Inc (NASDAQ:GMBL) has announced a marketing partnership with the National Hockey League’s (NHL) New York Rangers, in which the company will become the team’s official esports tournament provider beginning on July 1, 2021.
Esports Entertainment will host three Rangers-themed esports tournaments utilizing its Esports Gaming League brand and platform, as well as work with the Rangers organization to create custom videos that promote these tournaments across all Rangers digital platforms.
“We are thrilled to welcome another leading professional sports team to our tournament platform,” Esports Entertainment Group CEO Grant Johnson said in a statement.

“We look forward to working with the Rangers as they extend their brand into the rapidly growing world of esports,” Johnson added.
The company noted that esports tournament participants will compete for prizes such as Rangers merchandise and memorabilia.
The Esports Gaming League enables live and online events and tournaments where gamers can compete and enjoy a wide range of content relating to esports and video games on a proprietary technology platform. Services include full turnkey esports events, live broadcast production, game launches, and online branded tournaments.
Esports Entertainment is a licensed online gambling company focused on the growing world of professional video gaming - and the only esports company currently listed on the tech-dominated NASDAQ.
Much like traditional sports gamblers betting on their favorite teams, Esports Entertaiment’s proprietary Player-to-Player (P2P) wagering system allows esports fans and enthusiasts to bet against one another in support of their favorite ePremiere League (ePL) teams. The ePL is a partnership between Electronic Arts and the English Premier League, which is the most-watched sports league in the world.
