Malta and the Balearic Islands may be the only two additions to the UK’s green list in Thursday’s update.
It means that from Tuesday 29 June, travellers from these destinations won’t have to quarantine for ten days once they arrive in the UK.

Opening up the Spanish islands will be welcome from the travel industry, as 5mln Britons used to visit Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca each year before the pandemic.
Ministers are considering just a “handful” of changes, The Times reported, after the end of lockdown in England was postponed from 21 June to 19 July.
Some Caribbean islands may also make it to the green list, but other popular European destinations won’t be added until next month.
It’s understood that UK residents who have received both jabs will be able to avoid quarantine when returning from abroad from August onwards.
Ryanair (LON:RYA) added 2% to €16.68 in the late morning, easyJet (LON:EZJ) advanced 1% to 989.2p and TUI (LON:TUI) remained flat at 400.3p.
