Adavale Resources begins fully funded maiden drilling at Tanzanian nickel project

Drilling has started on Target 1 of the project and to date six high priority drill targets have been verified with 12 remaining targets being refined.

Adavale Resources Limited (ASX:ADD) has started a fully-funded maiden diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Kabanga Jirani Nickel Project in Tanzania.

The company’s initial exploration has identified 18 targets across four licences – Kabanga N, Kabanga E, Kabanga W and Kabanga NE.

The company has started drilling on the Target 1 of the project and to date, six high priority drill targets have been verified through modelling of geochemical and geophysical results.

Adavale is also refining the 12 remaining targets for final verification and modelling of further drill targets.

“Strong choice of targets”

Adavale CEO Allan Ritchie said: “Having the rig turning for the first time is a significant milestone for any explorer.

“We now have a strong choice of targets that we’ve worked hard to refine and prioritise to ensure we get the most out of our rig as the time came.

“Target 1 ticked a lot of boxes from the outset, so we are excited to see the forthcoming first cores.

“From company restructure, licence acquisition, through field exploration, data interpretation to commencement of drilling in the space of 10 months is a remarkable achievement.

“We look forward to updating our shareholders with continuous announcements over the coming weeks and months, which we hope will include exciting intercepts.”

Target 1

Exploration and survey work has identified important qualifying vectors that coincide at Target 1 providing indications of potential underlying mineralisation.

Coincident level nickel and copper anomalies at surface and magnetic lows indicative of an ultramafic intrusion.

The company’s overall program is fully funded to include around 3,000 metres of diamond drilling expected across eight targets.
