Codebase Ventures Inc (CSE:CODE) (OTCQB:BKLLF) (FRA:C5B) said its investee company Love Hemp Group PLC (LON:LIFE)(OTCMKTS:WRHLF) has teamed up with boxing champion Anthony Joshua in a new endorsement agreement.
The three-year agreement will see Joshua, a two-time World Heavyweight Champion and Olympic gold medallist for the UK, become an ambassador for the CBD brand and contribute to the firm’s wellness promotion.
Longer-term, Love Hemp and Joshua will also collaborate on a licensed range of CBD products for athletes.

Joshua will become a key shareholder in Love Hemp through his management company 258 MGT Limited and will be issued shares in lieu of cash compensation.
In an earlier statement from UK-based Love Hemp, the firm’s CEO Tony Calamita told investors that Joshua’s profile in the international sports arena “is key to the ongoing growth of the Love Hemp brand into the amateur and elite sports world.”
"Love Hemp is a wellness company and CBD is a natural life improver. For sportsmen and women, this means faster muscle recovery, effective pain management and reduced inflammation,” Calamita said.
“We have worked hard to create a trusted and fully-certified premium CBD brand with a diverse range of organic products. Via his involvement with Love Hemp Group, Anthony will help us deliver this important message to the highest levels of UK and international sport.”
Joshua added Love Hemp is a great brand and the company has “an amazing vision”.
“The ability of CBD to improve people's everyday lives is undeniable,” Joshua told investors.
“My work with Love Hemp will allow me to be involved in the company's aggressive growth strategy as well as developing my own branded wellness-focused CBD products. Everyone should be able to experience and enjoy the many benefits CBD provides.”
Vancouver-based Codebase invests in early-stage technology, cannabis, and blockchain companies.
