Sensyne Health PLC (LON:SENS) appointed the former head of the UK drug regulator as an independent director.
Dr Ian Hudson served as chief executive of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency for six years to 2019. Before that, he was the MHRA's licensing director.
He is currently a senior advisor for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Sensyne’s chairman, professor Sir Bruce Keogh, said: "Ian's experience will be a great asset as we build an innovative and world-class clinical artificial intelligence company."
Hudson joins the board on June 28.
Sensyne specialises in the ethical application of artificial intelligence, which is used to assess large datasets to guide clinical studies.
