Seraphine Group PLC, a maternity brand worn by royals such as Kate Middleton, announced plans to list on the London Stock Exchange's main market.
The maternity and nursing wear brand, founded in 2002, designs “desirable clothes” that people can also wear when they are no longer pregnant.
The lines are designed from first trimester to post-partum to create a complete wardrobe “at attainable price points”, including a core "continuity" range with staple pieces, accounting for 70% of its offer.
Sales have climbed 22% annually between 2014 and 2021, driven by expansion internationally and online. The e-commerce platform now accounts for 89% of total sales.
Seraphine, which is currently owned by holding company Kensington Topco, said its addressable market is as large as £4.7bn globally.
It’s targeting a free float of at least 25% of its issued share capital, with IPO funds to support growth plans and attract new talent.
“An IPO gives us the momentum to grow both our own digital platform and increase our customer reach by expanding our digital partnerships while building on existing strong fundamentals,” said chief executive David N Williams.
