Talon Metals Corp (TSE:TLO) (OTCMKTS:TLOFF) (FRA:TAO) has continued a string of positive exploration results from its Tamarack nickel project in Minnesota, with a new round of drill assays that extended the thick nickel-copper mineralization beyond the current resource area.
Two new holes that were drilled as 49 and 25 metre step-outs northeast from the northern portion of the resource area intersected 108.81 metres and 87.35 metres of nickel-copper mineralization, the company reported.
Talon told shareholders that one of its “key catalysts for value creation” in 2021 is growing Tamarack’s resource to the north in an attempt to shorten the timeline to production.

"The new drill holes announced today demonstrate that there will be further resource expansion within the area we refer to as the Upper Semi-Massive Sulphide Unit, located in the north-eastern portion of our resource area," said Etienne Dinel, Talon’s vice president, geology in a statement.
"These new drill holes also demonstrate that we have not yet found the edge of the Upper Semi-Massive Sulphide Unit, especially considering the thickness of the mineralized intervals, and therefore, further drilling in this area is warranted."
Talon said it will continue drilling the area with a series of infill drill holes, as well as drill holes to try and pinpoint the edge of the Upper Semi-Massive Sulphide Unit.
The firm added that drilling to date shows growth of the mineralization to the north-east, while the edge of the mineralization within the Upper Semi-Massive Sulphide Unit has not yet been defined.
The Tamarack Nickel Project comprises the Tamarack North Project and the Tamarack South Project including a large land position - 18 kilometres of strike length - with numerous high-grade intercepts outside the current resource area.
Talon has an earn-in to acquire up to 60% of the project.
