TNT Mines Ltd’s (ASX:TIN) latest exploration program has uncovered a large gold anomaly around 1.2 kilometres south of the Eureka Pit in Western Australia.
The company’s recent auger geochemistry program delineated a 1.2-kilometre by 800-metre gold anomaly, while auger results intersected as much as 29.9 g/t gold.
Promisingly, multiple hits exceeded 100 parts per billion gold, oriented within a north-south trending mineralisation envelope.
Following the results, TNT intends to fast-track an aircore campaign to follow up on the auger program.
Size and magnitude “very exciting”
CEO Matthew Boyes commented on the initial drill results in an ASX announcement this morning.
“The results from the Eureka auger geochemical program are very exciting due to the size and magnitude of the anomaly and a series of coincident factors such as the favourable structural setting, the prospective host and the lack of any significant historical exploration over the area.
“We are pushing the advancement of the drilling program as fast as possible and have secured a rig which will be on the ground within the next fortnight.”
Auger program
TNT Mines investigated 643 sample sites during an exploration program over the entire Eureka tenement package.
The explorer used a truck-mounted auger drill to drill between 0.5 and 2 metres below the surface, collecting 500-gram samples for analysis.

Then, a recently completed geophysical interpretation and targeting study carried out by Resource Potentials identified several high priority targets based upon the structural and geological interpretation of filtered magnetic and gravity images.
Ultimately, the auger program results and geochemical findings have encouraged TNT to accelerate towards the next step in its exploration campaign.
Fast forward to aircore drilling
Following the gold anomaly discovery, the TIN board approved a follow-up aircore drill program.
The new campaign is designed to test the entirety of the gold anomaly on a 200-metre by 50-metre grid.
Drilling will be conducted on east-west trending lines with an overlapping inclined, crafted to obtain the best possible coverage over the anomalous zone.
The program is expected to cost around $160,000 and is scheduled to commence within the next fortnight.
