Infield Minerals identifies silver and gold target at Desperado project in Nevada

According to the precious metal’s company, the anomalous silver area extends over 3.5 kilometers in length by 500 to 800 meters in width

Infield Minerals Corp (CVE:INFD) reports the outlining of an anomalous silver and gold area at the Desperado project in Nevada, using soil geochemistry.

According to the precious metals company, the anomalous silver area extends over 3.5 kilometers (km) in length by 500 to 800 meters (m) in width.

The Desperado property is located in Nye County within the Ellendale mining district, 40km east Tonopah, Nevada. The project covers an area of 1,410 hectares (3,480 acres) surrounding the historical Ellendale mine property currently owned by a third party.

Infield Minerals intends to further advance the property through follow-up surface work in the third and fourth quarters of 2021. Additionally, 2021 follow-up fieldwork will evaluate the silver-gold target area for potential trenching.

A 2021 drilling campaign at the M1 property in Nevada is also underway. The program consists of approximately 4,000m of reverse circulation drilling, of which 1,920m has been completed in the South zone of the property across six drill holes.

The second phase of the M1 drilling campaign will commence in 3Q, and focus on the North zone, located more than 6km north of the South zone along the large-scale structural trend.

"Infield is fully-funded for our 2021 exploration campaign and we look forward to further advancing the company's portfolio of prospective gold-silver projects in Nevada,” said Evandra Nakano, president and CEO, in the statement.

Nakano continued: “The company has come a long way in one short year since inception, including establishing a strong technical and broader team, consolidating three quality projects into Infield's portfolio, and recently going public on the TSX Venture Exchange. We would like to thank our shareholders for their continued support.”

Aside from the Desperado deposit, Infield is also exploring the nearby Bandit property, another gold and silver site.
