Nextech AR Solutions Corp (CSE:NTAR) (OTCQB:NEXCF) (NEO:NTAR) (FRA:N29) said it and its educational partner, Ryerson University, have been jointly awarded a grant by the government of Ontario to create an augmented reality (AR) experience for post-secondary students.
As part of the eCampusOntario initiative the Toronto-based tech company will receive $150,000 from the government of Ontario’s $50 million Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS).
The capital will be used to build out Ryerson’s Augmented Learning Experience (RALE) which was first announced in July 2020.

The RALE 2.0 system is powered by EdTechX, a recently launched multifunctional virtual education solution built on Microsoft Azure.
The educational AR will focus on student engagement, adoption of technology through ease of use and accessibility while measuring the impact of experiential learning through AR.

Gappleberg added: “Ontario’s Virtual Learning Strategy is a significant initiative that creates partnerships with higher education institutions within the province and technology providers, while providing market adoption support for the resulting innovation. Innovation in the delivery of education solutions is critical and allows for added resiliency and student access in a post-COVID-19 world.”
Aside from educational tools, Nextech AR Solutions also provides virtual conference and event platforms and ecommerce solutions.
