Renforth Resources poised to start drilling at its Surimeau District battery metals project; reports more Parbec drill results

Assays from the 3,456, 15 drill hole program, completed in April, 2021 at Surimeau, are still largely outstanding

Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR) (OTCPINK:RFHRF) (FRA:9RR) told investors it was poised to start drilling at its 215 square kilometres (sq km) Surimeau District battery metals project in Quebec this month as it released more drill assays form its Parbec gold project.

Having shifted focus from the Malartic West copper and silver, where a drill permit has been delayed, Renforth said at Surimeau, it will use previously permitted setups to drill steeper undercuts of prior holes and, if accessible, use two western cut pads, which were not drilled in the program this spring. Planned is around 1,000 metres (m) of drilling and field prospecting.

Assays from the 3,456, 15 drill hole program, completed in April, 2021 at Surimeau, are still largely outstanding.

"We will be utilizing a one-man, day shift only drill rig, capable of approximately 300m per hole, to drill undercuts of the previously completed 200m holes at Surimeau, which were drilled south at 45 degrees dip," said Renforth in a statement.

Away from drilling, its geologists will prospect at Surimeau, specifically targeting the central trend, which hosts Victoria West over around 5km in the western end and, around 14km to the east - the Colonie target. There has been no documented exploration between the two.

"Should time permit, the Lalonde target, approximately 3km north of Victoria West, will also be visited. These three areas, Victoria West, LaLonde and Colonie, have, in that order, been the focus of historic exploration efforts for gold, which uncovered the presence of copper, nickel and zinc mineralization, which was not followed up on at the time.

"Renforth has verified the presence of sulphide mineralization at each location through surface work and, at Victoria West, drilling a portion of the known strike of the mineralized structure," it added.

Also in the statement, Renforth reported partial assays for hole PAR-21-131, an 87m long hole, successfully drilled as a twin of PAR-93-54.

This hole hit 9.55m at a grade of 4.42 g/t gold, with a sub-interval of 3.9m grading 10.31 g/t gold, commencing at 48.45m downhole, a vertical depth of approximately 40m, within the area of the Whittle open pit used in the May 2020 Parbec resource estimate.

Subsequent to that 2020 resource estimate, there have been 15,569m of drilling completed at Parbec, including a certain number of twinned holes designed to validate the inclusion of assay data produced in around 13,000m of drilling, which took place between 1986 and 1993 and was not included in the 2020 report.

The Parbec 2020 resource estimate showed 104,000 indicated ounces of gold at a grade of 1.78 g/t gold and 177,000 inferred ounces at 1.78 g/t gold.
