Tempus Resources ticks off regional airborne survey over Elizabeth Gold Project

Tempus technical staff will review data from the survey when it has been finalised and assess regional exploration targets.

Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR) (CVE:TMRR) (OTCMKTS:TMRFF) (FRA:4W0) has completed a regional airborne magnetic survey over the Elizabeth Gold Project in southern British Columbia.

The exploration company’s latest survey was conducted over the entire 115-square-kilometre project area.

Tempus technical staff will review data from the survey when it has been finalised by Precision Geophysics, which carried out the airborne inspection, and assess regional exploration targets at that time.

Ultimately, the aeromagnetic survey will help Tempus identify additional granite intrusions, particularly within Canada’s Shulaps mountain range.

It will also provide the explorer with additional exploration targets to follow up in future drilling campaigns.

Blackdome-Elizabeth Gold Project

Tempus president and chief executive officer Jason Bahnsen said: “We anticipate that the magnetic survey will generate additional targets over the 115 square kilometre project area as part of our regional exploration program.

“In addition, drilling is about to commence on the South West vein with teams and equipment being mobilised to Elizabeth site this week.”

Tempus originally announced it would kick off survey work at Elizabeth in April when it unveiled its 2021 exploration program for the wider Blackdome-Elizabeth Gold Project.

The ASX, TSX and OTCQB-listed explorer intends to conduct 7,500 metres of down-plunge and along-strike diamond drilling at Elizabeth in 2021.

Overall, Tempus hopes to expand the known gold mineralisation at the project, in parallel with detailed alteration and mapping studies at Blackdome to support future resource expansion drilling.

Past exploration

Last year, drilling within the South West vein at Elizabeth returned 5 metres at 61.3 g/t gold from 116.5 metres, including 1.5 metres at 186 g/t gold from 118 metres.

Meanwhile, another hole intersected 3.2 metres at 28.1 g/t from 184 metres, including 0.5 metres at 178 g/t from 184.5 metres.

Now that the survey has been completed, Tempus’ 2021 drilling campaign can get underway in the near future.
