Viscount Mining Corp (CVE:VML) (OTCQB:VLMGF) (FRA:7VM) reported an encouraging drill result from its Silver Cliff project in Colorado, which shows the resource at the Kate Silver deposit can be expanded.
The hole was spudded on March 30 this year to the north of the Kate East Zone and assayed 147.6 grams per ton (g/t) silver over 18.6 meters (m) from 11m depth, including 236 g/t silver over a 10m length.

As with other holes sunk at the Kate East Zone, it also showed strong correlation with copper, lead and zinc, the company noted.
"We are very proud of the progress Viscount is making at the Kate Silver Deposit," said Jim MacKenzie, the chief executive officer.
"The drill results from the Kate East Zone has demonstrated the deposit to be open-ended in all directions. The next phase of drilling will allow us to continue to step out drill holes on all sides of the deposit which will make our goal of expanding the current NI 43-101 resource possible."
This hole, above, was the first of ten drilled in a second phase of a three-phase program at the Silver Cliff property.
So far, the Kate East zone comprises 17 holes and measures around 300m from south-west to north-east, and is 125m at its widest. It is currently open-ended in both directions, and the sides are not yet defined. An additional four holes were drilled in April 2021, with assays pending.
Viscount's combined 2020/2021 program has three goals - to expand on ACS 2018 resource estimate of the Kate Silver resource; to investigate the Kate East Zone, as well as evaluate several other promising targets.
USA-focused project generator Viscount has said it plans to start a phase 3 drill program in the summer of 2021, ahead of an anticipated resource update.
