Moho Resources progresses maiden drilling at "tip of the iceberg" Crossroads prospect

The company is drilling holes three and four at the prospect, which is just a small part of its larger Burracoppin Project.

Moho Resources Ltd’s (ASX:MOH) managing director Shane Sadleir is confident that Crossroads prospect at the company’s Burracoppin Gold Project in Western Australia is just the tip of the iceberg.

During a recent site visit, Sadlier said the maiden diamond drilling program was progressing well.

He said: “I think it's important to understand that Crossroads is just a small part of the overall Burracoppin Project and we believe there’s potential for much more mineralisation in this area.

“We’re exploring on this tenement and ultimately if we find sufficient mineralisation we’ll take forward to further development and hopefully mining - but it's early days yet.

“Once we’ve completed this diamond program, we’ll have all the orientation of the structures and we’ll be able to put that in the bigger picture.

“We need these structures to help us vector into where the mineralisation’s going, so that we can plan our next drill program.”

Maiden drilling underway

The third hole of the four-hole program for 600 metres is currently underway and the company has also recently completed a project-wide, ultra-low detection limit soil sampling program.

Sadlier said: “This particular hole, we’re on an east-west cross-section, and this is the first hole that’s going to go down to about 150 metres, it will be testing the main zone of mineralisation that we’ve intersected– it’s about 16 metres of anomalous gold mineralisation at depth and what we’ll be doing is stepping back about 300 metres to the east and drilling beneath.

“The particular zone is anomalous, it’s got high sulphides in it, we’ll be passing through that zone, intersecting it at depth.”

The company is positive about the project’s regional prospectively, with heavy-hitting neighbours including Ramelius Resources Limited’s (ASX:RMS) (FRA:RRZ) (OTCMKTS:RMLRF) Edna May Gold Mine 22 kilometres away.

Looking forward

The prospect is subject to a 70:30 Joint venture with IGO Ltd (ASX:IGO), with the current drilling co-funded by the State Government.

Sadlier said: “The diamond work and the RC work are co-funded drilling grants sponsored by the Western Australian Government so we’re getting around half of our drill costs back from that grant.

“I look forward to report on results from the Burracoppin Project.”
