Alto Metals Ltd (ASX:AME) has hit more high-grade gold during reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Sandstone Gold Project in WA.
Assays from a further 24 holes for 5,441 metres of step-out drilling, were reported today, intersecting high-grade gold across the project’s Lords Corridor zone.
Drilling beneath the Lord Henry pit was particularly successful, intersecting 72 metres at 1.2 g/t gold from 60 metres, including 12 metres at 5.1 g/t from 108 metres and 4 metres at 10.1 g/t from 112 metres.
Lord Henry shows promise
Essentially, the latest RC assays point to high-grade mineralisation outside Lord Henry’s current resource, with signs the pit’s mineralisation remains open to the north.
Alto managing director Matthew Bowles is particularly impressed with the results from the historic deposit.
“Together with the ongoing results from Orion, the Central Zone and Vanguard, we see significant potential to make new discoveries at the Lords Corridor.
“With diamond drilling underway and ongoing RC drilling targeting extensions of known mineralisation, we intend to continue systematically exploring these priority targets.”

Assays for nine holes drilled at the pit are pending, while RC and diamond drilling campaigns progress as planned.
Central Zone and Orion Lode exploration
The ASX-listed explorer also conducted drilling across other prospective tenements along the Lords Corridor zone, with the Central Zone and Orion Lode bearing particular promise.
RC drilling across Central Zone targeted an induced polarisation anomaly and continued to intersect broad zones of gold mineralisation.
During this campaign, Alto hit 24 metres at 1.1 g/t from 88 metres, including 8 metres at 2.6 g/t from 100 metres.
Meanwhile, at Orion Lode, the company hit 16 metres at 0.7 g/t from 188 metres and 8 metres at 1.4 g/t gold from 76 metres, including 4 metres at 2.5 g/t from 80 metres.
Drilling continues
Alto kick-started its extensive exploration campaign at the wholly-owned gold asset in February.
Currently, the explorer is waiting on assays for 59 RC holes, while it still has more than 13,000 metres of RC and diamond drilling to complete.
As more assays become available, Alto will update the market on its progress across the Lords Corridor and the wider Sandstone Gold Project.
