Tartisan Nickel files updated mineral resource for Kenbridge project showing good potential for expansion

Kenbridge’s total measured and indicated resources is 7.47 million tonnes at 0.6% nickel and 0.32% copper or a total of 95 million pounds of contained nickel

Tartisan Nickel Corp (CSE:TN) (OTCPINK:TTSRF) has filed an updated mineral resource on its Kenbridge nickel project that shows great potential for expansion at depth.

Kenbridge’s total measured and indicated resources is 7.47 million tonnes at 0.6% nickel (Ni) and 0.32% copper (Cu) for a total of 95 million pounds of contained nickel, with an additional 0.99 million tonnes at 1% Ni and 0.62% Cu for 22 million pounds contained nickel in the inferred category.

The resources were based on a Net Smelter Return (NSR) cut-off value of C$15 per tonne for pit constrained mineral resources and C$60 per tonne NSR for out-of-pit mineral resources, Tartisan said in a statement.

Located in the Kenora Mining District of Ontario, Kenbridge is close to existing infrastructure like roads and power. The project already has a shaft that extends to a depth of 622 metres, with level stations at 45 metre intervals below the shaft collar and two levels developed at 107 m and 152 m below the shaft collar.

In a statement, Toronto-based Tartisan said the deposit “shows there is great potential to expand the mineral resource down-plunge of high-grade intersections such as hole KB07-180 (2.95% Ni, 0.82% Cu / 21.5m including 7.2% Ni, 0.67% Cu / 5.5m) and also at depth.”

The firm added: “The deepest hole (end of hole K2010 = 880 m below surface) intersected mineralization grading 4.25% nickel and 1.38% copper over 10.7 ft (3.3 m), indicating that the deposit remains open at depth.”

Tartisan recently completed a surface Time Domain Electromagnetic (TDEM) survey at a target just north of the main deposit known as Kenbridge North that suggested conductive material continues to depth and to the north.

The company said it plans to expand on these intersections, upgrade the indicated and inferred mineral resources and test high potential nickel exploration targets like Kenbridge North.

Tartisan filed the updated report to revise certain disclosure and include the recent Kenbridge Property visit by representatives of P&E Mining Consultants Inc, which took place in May 2021, as well as the recent Crone Geophysics winter work program.

As per a request by the Ontario Securities Commission, the company retracted the "aged" Kenbridge Preliminary Economic Assessment information originally filed in 2008 and amended in 2010 from the Technical Report.
