Spyder Cannabis Inc (CVE:SPDR) announced that it has found its new chief operating officer in Christina Pan, who held the same role at the company’s recent acquisition, 180 Smoke.
Pan had been at 180 Smoke, a vape retailer with 26 locations in Ontario since 2019, and she assisted with its acquisition by Spyder Cannabis. Her new role is effective May 21.
She will oversee all the company’s operations, including the buildout of Spyder’s cannabis retail footprint across Ontario and Alberta, with immediate opportunities to convert certain vape retail locations to cannabis dispensaries, the company said.

Pan is also no newcomer to retail. She joined the cannabis sector in 2018 as a member of Origin House’s development team, and before that, she led corporate strategy, product innovation and loyalty development at Tim Hortons.
Additionally, Snyder announced that it issued options for the purchase of up to more than 2.5 million common shares to certain employees, officers and directors. The options were granted on May 21 and are exercisable at $0.10 per share.
Spyder Cannabis is a cannabis and vape retailer that operates in jurisdictions where the products are federally legal in Canada. Through its subsidiaries, the company is involved in the sale of cannabis products, as well as the sale of smoking cessation products.
