Sureserve Group PLC (LON:SUR) has appointed Nick Winks as independent non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
Robert Legget, who has been acting as interim chairman, will resume his role as senior independent director of the compliance and energy services group.

In his early career, Winks held a variety of senior management roles including as managing director or chief executive of a number of businesses, both private and public.
Since then, he has been focused on leading business change projects and has worked with many businesses to drive improvements in operating performance, cash generation and debt structures.
Winks is currently chairman of communications infrastructure services provider Virtua Group, non-executive director at specialist services firm Rainham Industrial Services and executive chairman and chief executive at mortgage adviser John Charcol Group.
Sureserve said it continues the formal process to appoint a new chief executive and will provide an update in due course.
"Nick brings with him considerable commercial and leadership experience as we embark on the start of a new stage of the group's development, with the objective of delivering organic and inorganic growth. Both I and the rest of the board look forward to supporting Nick in his role as chairman," Legget commented.
