Brookside Energy drilling operations at Jewell Well in Anadarko Basin on-schedule at 8,715 feet

During the last 36-hours, the liner was successfully set and cemented at the designed depth at the Jewell Well.

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) (OTCMKTS:RDEEF) (FRA:8F3) is continuing its drilling operations on schedule at the high-impact Jewell 13-12-1S-3W SXH1 well in the SWISH area of the world-class Anadarko Basin, Oklahoma.

The Jewell Well curve has now landed in the Sycamore Formation at the designed depth and the liner has been set and cemented.

Brookside is now drilling in the horizontal section at a measured depth of around 8,715 feet.

Future production of oil and gas

The Jewell Well is operated by Black Mesa Energy, a controlled subsidiary of Brookside, with the well being drilled by Latshaw drilling company.

It will be drilled to a total measured depth of around 14,700 feet with 7,100 feet of lateral section drilled in the Sycamore and subsequently cased with production tubing to be perforated and treated to allow for the production of oil and gas.

First company-operated well

This will be the first Brookside operated well to be drilled and completed in the Jewell DSU in the SWISH AOI.

Importantly, this well is the first well in a potential five-year, 20-plus well development drilling program across the three operated DSUs (Jewell, Flames and Rangers) that Brookside controls to develop around 11,6060,000 net BOE prospective resource.

The Jewell Well will be targeting one of two primary formations in the SWISH AOI, the Sycamore formation.

Future wells in the Jewell DSU will also target the Woodford formation, which just like the Sycamore formation, continues to deliver impressive productivity in nearby offsetting wells.
