Gold Resource Corporation (NYSEAMERICAN:GORO) (FRA:GIH), the Mexico-focused precious metals miner, has named Alberto Reyes as the group's new chief operating officer (COO).

Reyes' international experience includes North and Latin America, South Africa, Australia, the Philippines, Ghana, and Brazil.
His expertise includes operations, mine planning, feasibility studies, developing cost-saving strategies, and community and government relations.
He has progressively held more senior roles in Newcrest Mining Ltd (TSE:NCM) (ASX:NCM) (OTCMKTS:NCMGF) (FRA:NMA), GoldFields International Ltd. Luna Gold Corp, and most recently as VP Operations at Coeur Mining Inc (NYSE:CDE) (FRA:CDM1)
