Clear Leisure confirms name change to Quantum Blockchain Technologies

In February, the company raised £1mln to accelerate and widen the development of its cryptocurrency plans

Clear Leisure PLC (LON:CLP) will from 7 May 2021 be known as Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (LON:QBT) after shareholder approval was received for all resolutions at the company's general meeting.

The change of name application has been processed at Companies House and all relevant corporate regulatory procedures have been completed.

The new Quantum Blockchain Technologies website is: www.quantumblockchaintechnologies.co.uk, with the old Clear Leisure website domain remaining live and redirecting automatically to the new company’s website.

In February, the company raised £1mln before expenses through the placing of 100,000,000 new ordinary shares at a price of 1p apiece to an individual investor, John Story.

The proceeds will allow the company to accelerate and widen the development of its cryptocurrency plans, it said, including more quickly entering into cloud mining contracts with existing mining pool operators, financing the setup of a bitcoin mining operation in Italy and possibly elsewhere, and sourcing economic renewable wind farm and hydroelectric energy.

The company also plans to finance the developing of innovative hardware solutions for cryptocurrency mining and making a direct move in the segment of new crypto validators.
