American Battery Metals Corporation (OTCQB:ABML), which is in the process of changing its name to American Battery Technology Company (ABTC), has entered into a contract to purchase eight acres of land near Sparks, Nevada.
The company said the property is located in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), close to Tesla's Gigafactory, and will provide it with additional flexibility in building out facilities required to store and recycle lithium batteries.
"Our new property is ideally located in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center that provides ample transportation infrastructure important for our business," said American Battery Metals chief resources officer Scott Jolcover in a statement.

The company also said it is uniquely positioned to supply battery metals through its three divisions: lithium-ion battery recycling, extraction technology, and primary resources.
It recently announced the groundbreaking of its lithium battery recycling facility in Fernley, Nevada, and issued a public statement outlining policy reform needed to scale lithium battery recycling in the US.
American Battery has built a clean technology platform that increases the production of primary metals used in the batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, consumer electronics, and tools. The green platform creates a circular economy for battery metals that champions ethical and environmentally sustainable sourcing of critical materials.
