MedX Health appoints healthcare veteran Sylvain Desjeans as its chief revenue officer

Desjeans will lead market access, customer acquisition, engagement and marketing for MedX’s teledermatology offering as the company accelerates its international expansion efforts

MedX Health Corporation (CVE:MDX) (OTCMKTS:MDXHF) (FRA:9MH) announced the appointment of Sylvain Desjeans as the company’s new chief revenue officer.

MedX said Desjeans will help the company accelerate its sales in North America and internationally with his marketing skills and deep experience in gaining market access.

“Sylvain brings a wealth of experience to our growing team as we continue to scale our operations to meet international demand and increasing uptake within the North American market,” MedX Health Acting CEO Robert von der Porten said in a statement.

“His experience, leadership and relationships will secure further market access as we set our sights on new opportunities given the growing need for teledermatology to support healthcare systems, globally,” von der Porten added.

“His background in dermatology – and specifically working with dermatologists – will bring value to our partner clinicians and customers.”

Desjeans also commented, stating: “MedX is poised for significant international market expansion with its best-in-class SIAscopy skin-scanning device and DermSecure platform. This technology reduces the strain on healthcare systems by offering a truly patient-centric experience, which ultimately improves patient outcomes.”

Desjeans, who previously held senior leadership positions at Accucaps Industries Limited and Biovail Pharmaceuticals, will lead market access, customer acquisition, engagement and marketing for MedX’s teledermatology offering as the company accelerates its international expansion efforts and continues the growth of its network of approved clinical partners across Canada, including Empower Clinics.

He will also work closely with the chair of MedX’s Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Trevor Champagne, on the company’s artificial intelligence technology, driving ongoing innovation and patient-driven product development.

MedX noted that Desjeans has successfully implemented and led large-scale strategic growth plans and global product licensing initiatives for international pharmaceutical and medical companies.

MedX’s telemedicine platform allows healthcare practitioners to quickly and accurately assess suspicious moles, lesions and other skin conditions via its image capture technology, SIAscopy, and its secure, cloud-based patient management system, DermSecure, which transmits and stores patient data throughout the assessment process.

The company said SIAscopy is the only technology that captures five images, including four spectrophotometric images 2 millimetres below the skin’s surface.
