BMEX Gold Inc.(CVE:BMEX) (FRA:8M0) has announced the appointment of Jeremi Fournier as a director of the company.
The company noted that Fournier is president of Fournier & Fils, a successful Val D'Or-based general contractor with over 80 years of experience in the mining, environmental, industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. Prior to becoming president, he served as chief operating officer of the company.

BMEX Gold also pointed out that Fournier serves as president of the Val D'Or Chamber of Commerce and has been deeply involved in the Val-d'Or Economical Development Corporation. He has a vast network of Quebec-based mining and business professionals and holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Warner Uhl, who on,y took up the position as president and CEO of BMEX on April 14, commented, "BMEX Gold is very pleased to have Jeremi join our Board of Directors. Our company has two main deposits in the Abitibi region of Quebec. Having Jeremi on board is invaluable in having local knowledge of suppliers, communities and First Nations. Jeremi has been instrumental in growing his company and we look forward to his assistance in helping grow BMEX Gold into a mid-tier mining company."
With the appointment of Fournier to its board of directors, the company also announced the departure of director Peter Espig, who has resigned from the BMEX Gold board.
In another recent appointment, on April 23, BMEX Gold named veteran mining engineer Christopher Wild as its chief geologist. Wild has over 35 years of experience in mining and mineral exploration in Canada, Africa and South America, including many years at KGHM International and Imperial Metals.
BMEX Gold is a junior Canadian mining exploration company with the primary objective to acquire, explore, and develop viable gold and base metal projects in the mining-friendly jurisdiction of Quebec, The company is currently fully focused on earning 100% interest in its two projects, both located in the prolific Abitibi greenstone belt: the King Tut Project consists of 120 contiguous claims on 5,206 hectares; the Dunlop Bay Project consists of 76 mineral claims that cover 4,226 hectares.
