Sanatana Resources completes nine holes at North Shaft prospect at Gold Rush

The drilling follows surface work at the North Shaft prospect, which uncovered two gold trends - an eastern and a western

Sanatana Resources Inc (CVE:STA) (OTCMKTS:SADMF) told investors it had completed nine holes at the North Shaft prospect at the Gold Rush project, near Timmins, Ontario, and all hit 'quartz veins, alteration and sulphides'.

The drilling follows surface work at the North Shaft prospect, which uncovered two gold trends - an eastern and a western. At the Eastern trend, sampling showed assays up to 6.35 grams per ton (g/t) over 0.75 metres (m), the company said.

Sanatana sunk an NQ core hole 50m below the 6.35 g/t sample above, which delivered "immediate encouragement" intersecting a zone of ductile shear and brittle quartz-carbonate veins with albite and sulphides 10.7m wide (true width), demonstrating a widening at depth, it said.

A second scout drill rig has also been testing the Eastern trend from the southern side, said Sanatana.

This drilling also encountered the shear and demonstrated it continues further to the east. The combined drilling shows that the Eastern trend continues for at least 200m strike length and is open to the east and the west, noted the company.

Also in the statement, Sanatana said the G4 NQ drill rig had now moved to test the Eloro geophysical target on the central-eastern part of the Gold Rush property.

It comes after an airborne survey, flown by the Ontario geological survey, revealed several electromagnetic (EM) anomalies. Elora was selected for drill testing.
