Westminster Group PLC (LON:WSG) has been awarded the Queen's Award for its contribution to international trade.
The supplier of managed services and technology-based security solutions received recognition for its outstanding growth in overseas sales.
It is one of just 205 organisations nationally to be given the prestigious accolade, which was made at the Prime Minister’s recommendation.
Chief executive Peter Fowler said: "I am proud of our achievements for 2020, particularly against a backdrop of the global pandemic, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff and I am therefore delighted that our achievements have been recognised by this Queen's Award.
"The significance of this prestigious award is recognised worldwide and is an indication of the growth and momentum we have achieved with our world-wide business over the past few years.”
Now in its 55th year, the Queen's Awards for Enterprise recognise and encourage achievements in the fields of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Last November Westminster was recognised by the London Stock Exchange as part of its 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, a ‘celebration’ of some of the UK’s brightest and fastest growing companies.
