BMEX Gold engages top Quebec exploration consulting group Laurentia Exploration

The company said Laurentia will provide “a full suite of services” that will embrace the planning, execution and interpretation of BMEX’s exploration programs

BMEX Gold Inc (CVE:BMEX) (OTCMKTS:MRIRF) (FRA:8M0) said that it has engaged Laurentia Exploration as geological consultants to provide “a full suite of services” embracing the planning and interpretation of exploration programs, with a particular focus on “orogenic gold and gold-rich VMS mineralization.”

The junior Canadian mining exploration company noted that Laurentia has recently been involved in “several significant discoveries,” particularly in Quebec. “Laurentia will report to and work directly with Chris Wild, the company's newly appointed Chief Geologist,” said the company.

In a statement, Wild said: "Our first priority is to evaluate and model the historical work done on the King Tut property combined with the results from the recent drill program. From there, we will do the same for the Dunlop Bay property.”

“I am excited to work with Laurentia Exploration, they have a methodical approach to exploration, bringing structure and discipline to our program, while still being able to think outside the box … We are very much aligned in our approach and in our optimism for our projects,” he added.

BMEX CEO Warner Uhl said that since joining the BMEX team, he had made some “very important additions to the technical team” that shore up the company’s technical expertise.

“We have assembled a highly prospective property package and I am confident that the technical expertise of our new additions will be invaluable to BMEX Gold as we advance these projects," added Uhl.

Laurentia is experienced in Quebec exploration and has clients in the vicinity of The King Tut property, including Amex Exploration, Starr Peak, Generic Gold, Chicobi Gold, Spearmint Resources and Frontline Resources. Near the Dunlop Bay project, Laurentia has worked for Frontline Resource with the road 109 project.

Separately, BMEX thanked Martin Demers, who had stepped down as VP of exploration, for his contributions over the years.

BMEX Gold has two assets in the prolific Abitibi greenstone gold belt in mining-friendly Quebec. The district has churned out 170 million ounces of gold since 1901 and the company's projects span 9,800 hectares and have had what the company calls 'historically significant' drill results.

The Dunlop Bay project consists of 76 mineral claims covering 4,226 hectares, while the group's King Tut property has 120 contiguous claims that cover 5,206 hectares.
