Plurilock Security Inc (CVE:PLUR) (OTCQB:PLCKF) announced it has filed two provisional patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office, which is expected to extend the company’s patent portfolio through the coverage of new innovations focused on insider threat and augmentation for continuous authentication.
Plurilock said the patent applications are expected to enhance its core technology and capabilities, as well as enable new pathways for the company to provide enhanced security to its clients.
“These patents represent our continued investment in R&D to stay on the cutting edge of identity-centric solutions for workforces,” Plurilock Security CEO Ian Paterson said in a statement.

“Our customers benefit by using the latest technology, and our partners benefit by being able to offer competitive, innovative solutions that their competitors do not have,” Paterson added.
Specifically, the first application documents new techniques for utilizing behavioral biometrics in forensic analysis of insider threats, a key cyber concern for workforces.
The second application, meanwhile, covers enhancements to Plurilock's invisible authentication technology, which would broaden the situations in which it can be used while ensuring its robustness in today's multi-modal and increasingly remote work environments.
Victoria, British Columbia-based Plurilock Security is a cybersecurity company that provides multi-factor authentication (MFA) and true continuous authentication using AI-driven behavioral biometrics to confirm a user’s identity.
Unlike competing MFA solutions, Plurilock does not require users to complete lengthy login workflows using mobile messaging or code generators and, unlike competing continuous authentication solutions, the company provides true full-workday authentication in the background.
