Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc (CVE:TBRD) (OTCQX:THBRF) (FRA:32GA) chief financial officer Barb Harwood has been named one of Canada’s best executives by the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. 

The Report on Business Best Executive Awards is an annual program to celebrate excellence among non-CEO leaders at the SVP, EVP and C-suite levels. 

Thunderbird CFO Harwood is one of 10 winners in the Finance category.

In a statement, Thunderbird said that Harwood is being recognized for “outstanding financial leadership, commitment to transparency and adherence to sound ethics and quality reporting practices.”

The Vancouver-based entertainment company said that Harwood was “integral” to numerous company initiatives that advance diversity, inclusion, and minority representation throughout the firm.

“Barb is an impactful leader, a compassionate mentor and an extremely talented corporate executive – both within our company, and also across the entire entertainment industry,” said Jennifer Twiner McCarron, Thunderbird’s CEO in a statement.

“Barb’s financial stewardship plays a critical role in everything we do at Thunderbird. On behalf of our entire company, I want to congratulate Barb for being one of the top 10 financial leaders to be acknowledged by Report on Business in their ranking of 2021’s Best Executives.”
