Aurumin Ltd (ASX:AUN) has received high-grade assays from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its 100%-owned Mt Dimer Project, around 120 kilometres northeast of Southern Cross in Western Australia.
The RC drilling program started at the Lightning deposit within Mt Dimer before moving onto new targets from the 2020 SAM Survey.
The best results from Lighting include:
- 16 metres at 4.44 g/t gold from 52 metres including 1-metre at 12.35 g/t from 53 metres and 3 metres at 15.35 g/t from 61 metres including 1-metre at 36.2 g/t from 62 metres; and
- 4 metres at 4.39 g/t from 116 metres including 1-metre at 14.98 g/t from 117 metres.
“High-grade nature of mineralisation”
Aurumin managing director Brad Valiukas said: “Some great assays from Lightning, both filling in a gap in the existing data and chasing some lateral extension to the north.
“The assays highlight the high-grade nature of mineralisation at Mt Dimer.
“The majority of assays from testing targets generated by the 2020 SAM (ground-based Sub-Audio Magnetic) survey are expected to be finalised and released in the near term.”
Mt Dimer is a historical high-grade production centre, having produced more than 125,000 ounces of gold, including open pit and underground production of 600,000 tonnes at 6.4 g/t.
New Lightning intersections
The company has now completed five RC drill holes for 529 metres at Lightning with the program designed to intersect northerly trending mineralised structures, predominantly along strike from historical work and to fill a gap in existing data.
All holes at Lightning were successful in intersecting the structure, which comprises massive quartz veins.
Holes to the south were unsuccessful in extending the southern-most high-grade shoot further south, however, LTRC2105 has potentially identified a new high-grade shoot immediately to the north.
Hole LTRC2101 was drilled to support historical data and infill a gap.
A wide intersection with multiple high-grade zones, including up to 36.2 g/t was returned.

The majority of assays from testing targets generated by the 2020 SAM (ground-based Sub-Audio Magnetic) survey are expected to be finalised and released in the near term.
