Goldseek Resources Inc (CSE:GSK) (OTCMKTS:GSKKF) has told investors that initial results from a maiden soil till program at its Val D'Or North property in Quebec exceeded expectations.
The survey comprised the collection of around 15kg of B-Horizon material along access roads, totalling 124 samples, over a total of 265 visited stations and partial results have now been received.
The work identified four targets for follow-up and the highest calculated gold value was 1,747 parts per billion (ppb).

"We are very encouraged to report our strong maiden till results and the identification of 4 Targets at our Val D’Or North Project," said Goldseek CEO Jon Deluce in a statement.
"For a cost-efficient first pass of the project, these initial results exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to our follow-up program this summer to better define the targets in this area of the Val D’Or district that is very underexplored. This shows the depth of our asset portfolio besides our new advanced-stage flagship Beschefer."
Val D'Or North lies 38 kilometres (km) north-east of Val D'Or and spans 143 claims over 8,000 hectares which complement the explorer's other assets in Urban Barry, Quevillon, Detour Gold Trend in Quebec and Hemlo in Ontario.
In March 2021, the company said it had optioned the Beschefer project in Quebec from Wallbridge Mining (TSE:WM), which, it said, will become its flagship asset. The asset spans around 962 acres and borders Goldseek's Southern Arm project. It also lies 30 km southwest of Wallbridge’s Fenelon gold property and 45 km northeast of the Casa Beradi mine.
Previous drill highlights at the project include 55.63 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 5.57 metres (m) in one hole and 13.07 g/t gold over 8.75m in another.
