Renforth Resources completes spring 2021 drill program at Surimeau district property, Quebec

The project hosts a potential district-scale volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) nickel-rich discovery of over around 20km

Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR) (OTCPINK:RFHRF) (FRA:9RR) said it is awaiting drill assay results after completing 3,456 metres (m) in 15 holes over 2.2 kilometers of strike at its Victoria West target at its 215 square kilometres (sq km) Surimeau district property in Quebec.

As previously reported, the project hosts a potential district-scale volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) nickel-rich discovery of over around 20km. Agnico Eagle's flagship LaRonde mine is exploiting a gold-rich VMS deposit, which sits 20km to the north.

In planning this latest drill program, Renforth relied upon data from a helicopter-borne geophysical survey in 2012, along with data from historic exploration programs during 1940 to 1980.

"This survey has been proven, in this drill program, to accurately measure the pyrrhotite rich sedimentary and ultramafic associated mineralization in the geophysical anomaly at Victoria West, over the 2.2km strike, which was drilled. There remains 4km of the anomaly to be drilled to the west and 12km to the east, with the Colonie Target at the eastern end of the anomaly," Renforth told investors in a statement.

Visual results from the drilling are also "significant," the group said, confirming that the Victoria West mineralization mirrors a regional east-west elongated magnetic anomaly and a strong EM conductor.

Earlier this month, Renforth posted more drill results from its Fall program at its other, flagship, Parbec open pit gold deposit in Quebec. The results came from two holes and a portion of a third. Highlights include 2.64 grams per ton (g/t) gold in a 1.15m length from 410.1m depth.

The Parbec program was designed to fill in gaps within the existing deposit model, to test for the downdip extension of mineralized zones and to twin holes drilled between 1986 and 1993 to allow the assay results from those 62 holes to be used in the 2021 resource estimate, which is expected to be completed in June or July this year.
