Moneysupermarket.com PLC (LON:MONY) saw revenues fall by a fifth in its latest quarter as its travel and insurance arms were hard hit by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Total revenues dropped 20% to £85.5mln in the three months to end-March 2021, said the comparison website.
Fewer people looking for the best credit deal affected revenues in the Money division, where revenues dropped 26% to £18.1mln.
Travel revenue was negligible said the site, which also lost a large volume contract with a B2B partner with effect from July 2021.
In 2020, this travel partner contributed about £15mln of revenue and EBITDA in the low single-digit millions.
Energy was also lower as savings available from energy switching were less than a year ago though the recent energy price cap announcement helped activity recover as the quarter progressed.
In spite of these headwinds, the group said the full-year performance in 2021 is on track to be in line with market expectations.
Peter Duffy, chief executive, added: “Several channels remain impacted by COVID-19, but we are well-positioned to weather this period and return shortly to profitable growth."
