C4X Discovery Holdings PLC (LON:C4XD) appointed Simon Harford as a new non-executive director with immediate effect.
The boardroom hire adds US and global expertise to the management team.
"Simon brings a wealth of global pharmaceutical expertise across key financial markets, including the US where he is based,” said chair Eva-Lotta Allan.

“His deep understanding of global pharmaceutical financial strategy will be invaluable as we continue to grow C4XD and expedite major out-licensing deals such as our recent deals with Sanofi and Indivior.”
Harford, meanwhile, added: "I am delighted to be joining the C4XD board at this stage of the Company's development.
“C4XD has made great progress in the execution of its strategy, which the recent deal with Sanofi further validates.
“The company's technologies are able to deliver high quality and differentiated drug candidates for development by pharma and biotech companies and I look forward to working with the board to continue growing the company and delivering shareholder value."
Harford is currently CFO at Nasdaq-listed Albireo Pharma Inc – which has raised some US$200mln of equity funding – and was previously CFO of Parexel International Inc which was acquired by private equity in 2017.
He previously held financial leadership roles at GlaxoSmithKline and Eli Lily.
