C3 Metals Inc (CVE:CCCM), formerly Carube Copper Corp, announced it has appointed Kevin Tomlinson as its new President and CEO as well as one of its directors.
Tomlinson, the former CEO of ASX-listed junior Austminex, is a Canadian/Australian structural geologist and investment banker with over 35 years' experience in the exploration, development and financing of mining projects globally.
“Kevin brings a rare mix of extensive operational experience as a geologist coupled with a highly successful track record in Resources Investment Banking across M&A advisory, financing and research. His strong leadership skills and diverse capital markets experience are highly complementary to those of our strong technical team,” C3 Metals Chairman Tony Manini said in a statement.

“We look forward to working with Kevin as C3 builds substantial value for its stakeholders through the successful ramp up of exploration on our flagship Jasperoide copper-gold project in the world class Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt of southern Peru,” Manini added.
Tomlinson also commented, stating: “The company's experienced in-country team is working closely with government agencies and the local community to enable C3 to advance its efforts in a conscientious and timely fashion as evidenced by the recent granting of the required drill permit.”
“I am excited to be joining a very experienced and dynamic team exploring and developing the little-known Jasperoide gold-copper skarn and porphyry system in the shadow of giant copper deposits such as Las Bambas, Constancia and Antapaccay in Peru.”
The company also noted that its former CEO Stephen Hughes, who has returned to C3 Metals full-time following an illness, will continue as Vice President of Exploration and remain a company director.
As well, the board of directors of C3 Metals has granted eight million stock options to company directors, officers, employees, and consultants, two million of which will vest immediately while six million options will vest over a period of 12 months. Each stock option will allow the holder to purchase one common share in the company at a price of C$0.11 and will expire on January 5, 2026, or upon departure of the option holder.
The company’s flagship Jasperoide copper-gold project is in the highly prospective Andahuaylas-Yauri belt of Peru, an emerging porphyry copper province that hosts several large-scale producing porphyry/skarn copper deposits. The property spans 5,700 hectares in southern Peru near three producing mines.
