BlackEarth Minerals in trading halt with capital raising announcement upcoming

The company's stage-2 large-scale pilot plant program has returned strong results with grades of fixed carbon content of more than 95%.

BlackEarth Minerals NL (ASX:BEM) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX with an announcement upcoming in regard to a proposed capital raising.

The trading halt will remain in place until the beginning of regular trade on Monday, April 12, or when an announcement is released to the market, whichever occurs earliest.

Stage-2 large-scale pilot plant results

BlackEarth’s stage-2 large-scale pilot plant program has returned strong results with grades of fixed carbon (FC) content of more than 95% confirmed thus reaffirming the potential of Maniry Graphite Project product as being highly attractive for downstream processing and feed for rapidly expanding electric vehicle markets.

The tests that are being actively managed by BlackEarth’s executive team and conducted by world leaders in the testing of graphite and development of flow sheet and plant design are two weeks ahead of schedule.

Further testing will continue throughout April 2021 with completion expected in May 2021.

The results coincide with a recently released UBS Report that indicates massive growth in demand for graphite to meet EV market demand.
