Rumble Resources 11.5% higher as company prepares for diamond drilling at Earaheedy Zinc-Lead-Silver Project

Drilling was undertaken at the company’s two sandstone-hosted, shallow, flat-lying zinc-lead discoveries – the Chinook and Magazine prospects.

Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR) is planning diamond drilling at Earaheedy Zinc-Silver-Lead Project in Western Australia, following a recent reverse circulation (RC) program at the Chinook and Magazine sandstone-hosted targets.

A diamond drill rig has been booked to follow up the RC drill program in late April.

The company’s RC program was extended to 4,000 metres in 40 holes with 3,000 metres completed and another 1,000 metres from 10 holes awaiting results.

Core from four holes has been expedited at the assay lab to ascertain grade potential with results expected next week.

Shares have been up 11.5% today to 15 cents and since the market close on April 1 have risen from 10.5 cents.

Chinook prospect

At the Chinook prospect 27 drill holes have been completed to date with all holes intersecting zinc-lead mineralisation.

Drilling has demonstrated continuity of the sandstone hosted zinc-lead mineralisation and supports the scale potential at the prospect, which warranted the expansion of drilling to 4,000 metres.

The remaining drill program is expected to finish later in the month of April, with assays to follow.

Magazine prospect

At Magazine prospect, drilling aimed to complete a drill section following up previously reported shallow flat lying higher-grade zinc-lead mineralisation intersected in two holes.

A remaining 10 holes are yet to be completed.

Three holes have been completed with visual mineralisation reported in one hole.

Earaheedy exporation target

The Earaheedy project is 75%-owned by Rumble and 25% by Zenith Minerals Ltd (ASX:ZNC).

Rumble has a single contiguous exploration licence application ELA69/3787 (100% RTR) covering the known strike extent.

The project area covers the inferred unconformity contact between the overlying Frere Iron Formation and underlying Yelma Formation of the Palaeoproterozoic Earaheedy Basin.

Rumble’s zinc-lead exploration target at the Earaheedy Project is between 40 to 100 million tonnes at a grade ranging between 3.5% to 4.5% zinc-lead.

The exploration target is at a shallow 80 metres of depth with more than 40 kilometres of prospective strike, which remains open.
