Hillcrest Petroleum Ltd (CSE:HEAT) (OTCMKTS:HLRTF) (FRA:7HI) announced that its shares have begun trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) under the new symbol ‘HEAT’.
Hillcrest said its move to the CSE signals an increased focus on its mission to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy and advance the company’s technology portfolio.
“As global demand for clean energy sources continues to grow, our aim is to take a first-mover approach with Intellectual (IP) development and create the conditions and capacity to get these innovations into the real world,” Hillcrest Petroleum CEO Don Currie said in a statement.

“The entrepreneurial culture found within the CSE provides us with greater freedom to make these moves, and our momentum is only increasing. As our plans to innovate with greater velocity unfold, we’ll be working hard to drive the type of transformative change needed to meet our goals,” Currie added.
Hillcrest noted that investment in electric machine control software IP and further exploration and development of commercial applications in electric vehicles, motors and power generators, among other systems, remains a key priority for the company.
Earlier, the company announced it will change its name to Hillcrest Energy Technologies Ltd, with the aim of transitioning to a clean technology company through funding from its oil production revenues, targeting opportunities to develop proprietary intellectual property.
Hillcrest also recently formed a joint venture with Extreme Vehicle Battery Technologies Corp (CSE:ACDC) (OTCMKTS:CRYBF) (FRA:EVBT) to target the electrical vehicle (EV) and battery-management markets and ink technology transfer term sheet with ANIGO Technologies.
