Thor Explorations plans to list its shares on London Stock Exchange’s AIM market

Thor expects the AIM listing will increase access to UK and European investors and provide additional liquidity for the company’s shareholders

Thor Explorations Ltd (CVE:THX) (OTCMKTS:THXPF) announced that it will seek permission to have its common shares trade on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, hopefully during 2Q 2021.

Thor said it expects the AIM listing to further raise the profile and status of the company within the global investment community, as well as increase access to the UK and European investors and provide additional liquidity for the company’s shareholders.

“The company is seeking admission to AIM with near term production, a clearly defined growth strategy, a positive market setting for gold and a track record of exploration and development success,” Thor Explorations CEO Segun Lawson said in a statement.

“I am looking forward to working with our existing and new investors in the London market to deliver the significant potential of this company," Lawson added.

As well, Thor noted that it is well-positioned to achieve major company milestones, including starting gold production at Segilola in Nigeria and a maiden resource at Douta in Senegal, as well as continuing to develop its Nigerian exploration portfolio on the Ilesha Schist belt.

West Africa-focused mining group Thor Explorations is advancing Nigeria's first large-scale gold mine, namely its flagship Segilola project, towards first production.

The Vancouver-based company is fully funded, in construction and on track for the first gold pour at the wholly-owned project in the second quarter of 2021, the company has said.

Thor Explorations also has the Douta exploration project, where it holds 70% and has an opportunity to increase that to 100%, in the southeast region of Senegal. The mining lease lies within 5 kilometres of Senegal's largest undeveloped gold resource, namely the 4.4 million ounces (Moz) Massawa deposit, which was recently sold by Barrick Gold Corp (NYSE:GOLD) to Teranga Gold Corp (TSE:TGZ) for up to US$430 million.
