DeepVerge reiterates 2021 guidance as it eyes promising year

The assessment followed what the environmental and life science group said was an “incredibly busy period" in 2020 with growth across all of its business divisions as well as initial data for its COVID-19 breath test

DeepVerge PLC (LON:DVRG) reiterated its guidance for 2021, saying the year looks to be “promising” as it ramped up progress with its projects.

In an update, the environmental and life science group said organic growth for its 2020 financial year was at £4.4mln with aggregated revenues of £6.1mln following what it said was an “incredibly busy period with continued growth across all business divisions”.

The company also said its 2020 guidance remains at £10mln, with £3.6mln already received in order from its Modern Water orders in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, DeepVerge said its Labskin division has “sealed its reputation as a leading diagnostics partner” and has launched its Skin Trust Club artificial intelligence (AI) skincare app and home test kit.

The firm also said its environmental division continues to grow apace with “new equipment, solutions, labs and services” creating a strong £3.7mln sales pipe for its Microtox and MicroTrace products.

DeepVerge added that initial data from its ongoing Phase III Coronavirus (COVID-19) detection studies have demonstrated an ability to identify and detect the virus and that the test is expected to meet the criteria for the UK regulator’s target product profile rapid breath test which would enable it to roll out the COVID-19 and other pathogen breath tests later this year.

Looking ahead, the company said the coming year was promising and its progress continued with “strong interest” from China for its Microtox products as well as its Labskin offerings.
