Alice Queen Ltd's (ASX:AQX) Andy Buxton tells Proactive their focus remains on bringing the Horn Island gold project into production after being notified by St Barbara Ltd (ASX:SBM) that it's withdrawing from a joint venture. St Barbara's withdrawing from the JV entered into with Alice Queen in 2019, in respect of exploration areas outside the existing Horn Island inferred resource of 7.9 million tonnes at 1.9 g/t gold for 492,000 ounces. Buxton says the company will continue to focus on Horn Island and will prioritise work to progress areas excluded from the JV into development.
